We are regularly asked to carry out modifications or repairs to heavy duty fork lift truck or reach stackers. These can be from a relatively simple change of fitted equipment to modifying the masts or capabilities of the trucks.
One of our bigger projects in this area of business was to manufacture a replacement boom for a 50 tonne reach stacker after the original boom had collapsed.
The fabrication was nearly 2 meters high, 11 meters long and weighed in at just over 10,000kg. The customer's installation team leader commented that it fitted like a hand in a glove.
The range of this type of business can be as simple as carriage modifications as per the picture of a 25 ton capacity machine that was adapted for the use of none standard forks for a specialist application.
To the manufacture of a new inner mast section which was required due to the existing unit being damaged beyond economic repair. This was fabricated and fitted into the 45 tonne Fork Lift mast at our workshop in Leyland prior to being shipped back to Holland for fitting on the truck.
